CTOY 2024 Award

On Nov.8^th, 2023, results of the CTOY (Chinese Truck of the Year) 2024 Test & Evaluation were officially announced in Wuhan under the sponsorship of Commercial Vehicle Magazine Agency. NEXTAR took home the CTOY 2024 award as the winner thanks to its outstanding performance in intelligent fuel efficiency, intelligent safety, driving experience concept and customization.

CTOY Test & Evaluation has been successfully held for 6 years since its start in 2015 under the sponsorship of Commercial Vehicle Magazine Agency. As both an introduction of the success of the European award ITOY (the International Truck of the Year, established in 1977), and an innovation that has been adapted to China’s unique road conditions, transportation applications, and commercial vehicle media outlet, the CTOY is the only award in China that regularly runs loaded road test to evaluate new products of Chinese truck brands under participation of international media outlets.

Vehicles participating in the CTOY test has to be a product newly launched into market in the past year, with industry-leading and transportation efficiency improvement performance in the past year; it is a rigorous test benchmarking to the ITOY standard. With members made up of commercial vehicle media journalists from China and overseas, highly-experienced truck users, industry experts, CTOY Jury is highly-recognized in the commercial vehicle field with its expertise and authority.

At the award ceremony, Gianenrico Griffini - chairman of the ITOY Jury explained the founding purpose of ITOY in 1977, and said that CTOY – an adaption of ITOY into China is playing an increasing important role in ITOY as China is the most important market in the world for the heavy-duty truck industry.
